The police have detained four persons a day after violence broke out in Bilaspur city over a derogatory Facebook post on an Indian deity.
The persons were detained as a preventive measure informed, Superintendent of Police, Bilaspur, BN Meena on Wednesday. The situation is under control, he said.The district administration had appealed people not to pay heed to any rumours. Meanwhile, a meeting of the district peace committee was also convened at Collectorate in which district Collector Siddharth Komal Singh Pardeshi and SP BN Meena appealed to the people to maintain peace and harmony.
