SP Indore (West) reviews registered cases
Mhow: SP Indore (West) Abid Khan on Thursday visited Kishanganj Police Station and checked progress of the registered cases. After the inspection a meeting of local people of Mhow tehsil was organised at the station premises. People from all sections of the society were present. Few women complained about their husbands and family disputes. Talking to ‘The Pioneer’ Abid Khan told that the Director General of Police Surendra Singh has specially ordered all the SPs of the Madhya Pradesh to visit regularly each and every police station under their jurisdiction and organise the public meeting and listen to their problems then and there only. It is sometimes very difficult for the common man to reach the SP office at the district headquarter and tell their problems. Addl SP Mhow Arvind Tiwari, SDOP Mhow Arun Mishra and TI Kishanganj Nagendra Singh Bais were present.
Diwali Milan Samaroh organised
Bhopal: Diwali Milan Samaroh was organised here on Thursday and the participants enjoyed the event enthusiastically. In-charge of Prajapita Bhramakumari Ishwariya University, Kolar branch Bhrahmakumari Kiran said that Diwali is the festival of lights and is being celebrated with a lot of fervor across the country. While addressing the participants during the programme, she explained the bonding between the festival and an individual. She said that every festival is connected with a message and it is important for an individual to understand its significance. During the programme, Kiran lit the lamp before Goddess laxmi and Narayana taking a pledge for a building a better nation. Yoga trainer and convener of Adarsh Yoga Centre Mahesh Agarwal gave all the participants diwali wishes. During the programme script writer Vishal Khare, builder lalit Maron and Adarsh Shrivastava of Adarsh Yoga Centre were present. As many as 200 participants took the pleasure of Diwali Milan Samaroh.
Guv pays tributes to late Indira Gandhi
Bhopal: Governor Ram Naresh Yadav has paid tributes to former Prime Minister late Indira Gandhi on her death anniversary. The Governor said that first woman Prime Minister of India Gandhi not only dominated Indian politics, but also left imprints on global politics. This is why she is remembered as Iron Woman. late Rabindranath Tagore had named her “Priyadarshini”. The Governor said that late Indira Gandhi will always be remembered in world politics for her talent and political resoluteness. He said that she had joined freedom movement of India after returning from Oxford. Gandhi’s 16-year tenure as Prime Minister witnessed several ups and downs. Several achievements of her tenure are unforgettable including Green Revolution, White Revolution, creation of Bangladesh and Operation Blue Star. She laid down her life for maintaining unity and integrity of the country.
Truck driver dies in road accident
Gwalior: The truck driver died after the truck he was driving caught fire and fell into the ditch. The incident took place near lakhnoti village before Malwa College. The truck was going to Bilaua. The SHO of Bialua Amar Singh Sikarwar said that truck bearing registration number MP06HC-2630 of RG Transport Company of Morena was going to Bialua. At about 4 am on Wednesday night, the truck driver lost control of the truck, which later fell into the ditch. The truck caught fire and the driver was burnt to death. On receipt of information, Bialua Police reached the spot and call the fire brigade which control fire after one and a half hour. The TI Amar Singh Sikarwar said that the truck which fell into ditch caught fire near lakhnoti village before Malwa College. In the fire the truck driver was burnt to death. The police registered the case but deceased could not be identified.
CM receives union ministers at state hangar
Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan received Union Minister of Urban and Rural Development Venkaiah Naidu, Union Minister of Social Justice Thawarchand Gehlot and Union Minister of State for Forests and Environment Prakash Javadekar at the State hangar here on Thursday. Higher and Technical Education Minister Umashankar Gupta, Health Minister Narottam Mishra, MP Nand Kumar Singh Chouhan, former Minister Ajay Vishnoi, MlA Rameshwar Sharma, Alok Sharma and other workers were present on the occasion.
Must for candidates to submit no-dues certificate
Bhopal: Secretary, State Election Commission GP Shrivastava has written a letter to Principal Secretary, Urban Administration and Development to make arrangements for timely issuance of no dues certificates about electricity and property tax dues to candidates contesting urban body elections. The Secretary said that it has been made mandatory for candidates to submit no-dues certificate about electricity and property tax dues along with nominations.
Admn directed to sell electoral rolls CDs
Bhopal: State Election Commissioner (SEC) R Parasuram has directed collectors and district election officers to make available CDs of photo bearing electoral rolls of urban bodies for sale. Cost of every urban body’s CD of electoral rolls has been fixed at Rs100.
Shukla condoles death of scribe Hansraj’s wife
Bhopal: Public Relations, Energy, New and Renewable Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Rajendra Shukla has expressed profound grief over the death of wife of senior journalist Hansraj Sharma and mother of journalist Praveen Sharma. Sarla, 62, was ailing for quite sometime. Public Relations Minister Shukla has prayed to the Almighty to grant peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family to bear this loss.
