BUS MOWS DOWN 4-YR-OlD SCHOOl BOY

Indore: A four-year-old boy was run over by a school bus in the Chhatribagh area here on Monday. The boy, identified as Ujjwal Soni, came under the wheel of the bus when the driver was reversing it at BD Toshniwal Maheshwari Bal Mandir Parisar school. The driver was arrested by the police.

CM ENQUIRES ABOUT HElPlINE REDRESS

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan talked over telephone to applicants of CM Helpline-181 and enquired about status of their problems’ redressal. Three applicants expressed satisfaction vis-à-vis redressal of complaints. The fourth complainant said that process for redressal has been started but the work has not been completed fully.

 From Mantralaya here on Monday, Chief Minister Chouhan first talked to Ravi Rajput of Gwalior, who had complained about insanitation.

He informed that complaint has been redressed.

Anshul Joshi of village Athner of Betul district had complained about delay in investigation. An FIR was registered, but investigation not started. He urged the Chief Minister for early investigation. The Chief Minister directed that efforts for applicant’s full satisfaction should be made by seeking information again from him. Maniram Shukla of Bada Malehra in Chhatarpur district informed that after orders of division of property, he has received copy of mutation. Similarly, Harivansh Ram Dube of village Bandhaura of Singrauli district had complained about disorder in power voltage. He informed the Chief Minister that the complaint has been redressed.

Rajiv Gandhi Excellence award to NGO

Indore: Shri Sadguru Datta Dharmik Evam Parmarthik Trust, a non-governmental social and cultural organisation set up under patronage of spiritual leader and Rashtra Sant, Bhaiyyuji Maharaj has been honoured with prestigious Rs Rajiv Gandhi Excellence’ award by International Business Council in recognition to its outstanding services in various sectors. The coveted award was received by the Trust chairman Sharad R Pawar at an august gathering in New Delhi. Receiving the award, Pawar said it will further spur the Trust and its thousands of   volunteers to pursue its social services more effectively with greater degree of excellence. He said the award is a tribute to the self-less services of  thousands of Rs gurubandhus’ (disciples) and  Rs sewadharis’ (volunteers) who day in and day out have been working relentlessly for social, educational and economical uplift of people of poor sections, downtrodden community. Pawar said Sri Sadguru Datta Dharmik Evam Parmarthik Trust through its over 100 projects in social, educational, agriculture, health as well as community development sectors has played anchor role in alleviating the socio-economic status of marginalized people as well as the poor in the states of Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra.

lt col Fateh Jung Bahadur birth anniv observed

Mhow: Every year Colonel’s Academy organises a cross country race in the memory of late col Fateh Jung Bahadur, with a social cause. This year on his birth anniversary, the school organised the 16th inter house cross country race on Sunday. In view of the cleanliness drive started by the central government and CBSE taking up the cause “Swachh Bharat Swachh Vidhalaya” Colonels academy embarked on the cleanliness drive. The event was flagged off by the Retd Gen Madhav Dattar, VSM. About 160 students, teachers and parents participated in the event on the 5.5 kms route on Berchha road, wearing house T shirts with slogan on cleanliness. Awards were given to the students in the following categories. In the senior boys category Sagar Yadav bagged the first position while Abhsiek Choudhary came first in the junior boys’ category. Amongst the girls Shivani Yadav clinched the first place and Tanushree Yadav in the juniors. The overall cross country trophy was clinched by the Tagore house. The event concluded by the vote of thanks given by the principal Keran Bahadur.

Farmers participate in krishi mahotsav

Bhopal: Farmers in Madhya Pradesh are participating enthusiastically in Krishi Mahotsav which started from September 25 aiming to apprise farmers of latest farming techniques to boost farm production and productivity. During last 4 days, Krishi Kranti Raths visited 4,524 villages through which farmers apprised themselves of latest farm implements and schemes for their welfare. As an important activity under Krishi Mahotsav, 4,531 farmers’ camps were also organised during the period which were participated by about 2.36 lakh farmers. Horticulture Department distributed about 35,000 saplings and about 37,000 horticulture kits. About 46,000 veterinary kits were also distributed.During the period, soil health cards were distributed to over 15 thousand 800 farmers and about 25,000 samples of soil were collected. Meanwhile, 372 teams were formed under Mukhyamantri Khet-Tirth Yojana and about 4000 farmers undertook visits to fields. During Mahotsav, Kisan credit cards were distributed to over 35,800 farmers and about 3.77 lakh revenue records were distributed. As many as 9,600 cases of mutation and 760 cases of demarcation were disposed of. About 3,900 new works were started under Mera Khet-Meri Mati Yojana. Wherever Krishi Kranti Raths visit, cultural programmes are also held. As many as 1760 cultural programmes have been held so far.

Panel on water treatment

Bhopal: A State level project implementation unit will be set up by State Water Corporation for sewage and waste water treatment. This was informed at a meeting of the corporation chaired by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan here on Monday. PHE Minister Kusum Mahdele and Chief Secretary Anthony DeSa were also present on the occasion.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that drinking water schemes should be completed within time-limit and special attention be paid to quality. Work to re-start defunct piped water schemes should be done on a war-footing. He directed to create awareness among people about water consumption.

The meeting endorsed the proposal to enhance corporation’s share capital from Rs 25 crore to Rs 40 crore. It was informed that the corporation is developing 25 piped water schemes in the first phase benefiting about 890 villages. Additional Chief Secretary Rural Development Aruna Sharma, Additional Chief Secretary Finance Ajay Nath, Principal Secretary Health Praveer Krishna, Principal Secretary Urban Administration and Development SN Mishra, Secretary to CM Vivek Agrawal and corporation’s in-charge Managing Director Sheoshekhar Shukla were present on the occasion.

Tuesday special camp for pension cases

Bhopal: A special camp will be held every Tuesday at Divisional Pension Office Bhopal for removing discrepancies in pension cases. Assistant Pension Officer will review and remove discrepancies in pension cases at this camp. The special arrangement has been made to ensure early payment of pension and other dues of retired government employees. Divisional Pension Officer Bhopal Smt. Swati Tripathi has urged all heads of departments and section officers to be present at special camp.
