A blood donation camp was organised at Blood Bank Koderma at Sadar Hospital premises on Sunday. The blood donation camp was organised by Indian Medical Association (IMA), Koderma. Doctor members of the association and other social workers donated blood at the camp.
Dr Urmila Chaudhary, president of IMA inaugurated the camp and said that apart from the donation camp awareness programmes like awareness rally, nukkad natak (street play) etc should be organised to make the people aware about its benefits.
Social worker Ramesh Harshdhar also donated blood at the camp. Encouraging the donors Dr HD Singh said that there was no side effect of blood donation and everyone should donate blood to save lives.
Dr Raman Kumar, secretary IMA, Dr Sagarmani, joint secretary, Dr RK Deepak, chairman red-cross society, Dr Sujit Kumar Raj, Dr HK Sharma, Dr Sandeep Kumar Singh, Dr Ashish Kumar and other members of IMA were present at the camp.
