CUJ student commits ‘suicide’

Ranchi: Second Year M Tech student of Central University of Jharkhand was allegedly hanged herself with a scarf from the ceiling fan of her room at Oriental Girls Hostel at Dipti Para in Ranchi. The Police, prima facie is considering it a case of failed lover affair. The girl hailed from Patna in Bihar.

mAOIST arrested from Rahe

Ranchi: CPI (Maoist) Soma Munda was arrested from Rahe near Bundu on Tuesday. The police have also recovered country made pistol, cartridges along with some Naxal literature and written procedure for making serial bombs.

Hitesh is Ranchi JAC matric topper

Ranchi: Hitesh Kumar Mahto is the topper of JAC 2014 matric topper in Ranchi district. He scored 94 percentage. A Afreen and Arun are the second and third toppers with 93 and 92.2 percentages in this district.

Rotary club to organise 3,000th weekly meet

Ranchi: Rotary Club of Ranchi is going to achieve a milestone in the history of Rotary by holding its 3,000th weekly meeting at Rotary hall, Ranchi Club Complex on May 1. Rotary is the biggest NGO in the world, having more than 13 lakh members in more than 170 countries. The organisation is mainly run by its Clubs. All clubs organise their mandatory meetings every week.

RUCCTA MEMBERS protest IN FRONT OF RU

Ranchi: Members of RUCCTA protested in front of RU administrative building on Tuesday regarding fulfillment of their pending demands. Besides, colleges of state capital teachers from Bero, Khunti, Mandar, lohardaga, Gumla, Sisai and Simdega were present here.

All students of IGBV pass with First division

Ranchi: The best girl’s school under JAC, Indira Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya at Hazaribagh has marked an achievement in the matriculation examination this year. All the 68 students who appeared in this exam have probably passed with first division. Baijanti lohra has bagged the first postion here with 92. 2 percentage. Principal Alice Tirkey said that the result was not up to their expectations, as most of the girls have scored around 68 to 69 marks in English. “We are almost sure that our all students have secured above 60 percentages. Due to this low marks in English, majority of outstanding students were unable to score above 90 percentage,” said Tirkey.
