Sanitation fees expected to be withdrawn

Gwalior: The sanitation fees imposed by the BJP ruled Municipal Corporation is expected to be withdrawn. The official declaration can be made any time. The BJP however does not want the Congress to take the credit of withdrawing the sanitation fees, so as soon as the minister in charge reached Gwalior the senior leader of BJP had a consultation with him on this issue and decided to withdraw the sanitation fees. The district planning committee has withdrawn sanitation fees in its meeting. The municipal corporation would confirm it on its next meeting. The minister in charge Jayant Mallia had a meeting with State president Narendra Singh Tomar, Maya Singh and Abhay Choudhary. After detailed discussion a decision was taken to withdraw the sanitation fees. The mayor Sameeksha Gupta  immediately appraised the decision.

 

Absconding chit fund director arrested

Gwalior: According to the police department the Crime branch of Gwalior team has arrested Santoshilal Rathore a director of chit fund. He had been absconding for a long and Gwalior police declared a reward of Rs2000 on him. The crime branch arrested Santoshilal Rathore from Greater Kailash area of Delhi. Santoshilal Rathore was owner of KMJ chit fund Company. His headquarter was in Gwalior. Five years before when the Gwalior administration took action against chit fund Company. All the directors went underground including Santoshi lal Rathore.

 

No recognition to GR medical college’s 5 dept

Gwalior: During the inspection by MCI to recognise the new courses, the heads of the departments did not properly produce their documents due to which five departments of GR medical College did not get recognition. In this connection the dean Dr GS Patel issued notice to all the heads of department calling for their reply. The MCI has cancelled the recognition to start of new PG courses like psychiatric, TB and chest, skin disease and pharmacology.

The inspecting teams stated the lack of necessary infrastructures of GRMC.They also expressed the doubt on the degree of some to the heads of the departments, due to which those departments could no get recognition. The heads of the departments have to give their explanation within 3 days after which it would be sent to MCI for further action. The dean GRMC Gwalior Dr GS Patel said that doubt has been expressed on the degree of some head of the departments. For which we have issued notices calling for their explanation.

 

Tribal dance fest to begin from march 1

Bhopal: Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya under its activities of cultural programme is organising a three day National Tribal Dance festival ‘Aranya Naad-3’ from 1st to 3rd March 2014. Altogether, number of tribal artists from 12 states of the country viz Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Chhattisgarh, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Rajasthan, Tamilnadu, Uttarakhand and West Bengal would participate in this programme which is to be held at Veethi Sankul indoor auditorium of the Manav Sangrahalaya from 6:00pm on all the three evenings.

 

SHarmila tagore in Bhopal

Bhopal: Yesteryear’s Bollywood actress Sharmila Tagore reached Bhopal on Thursday to participate in a private programme. Sources close to her informed that she is in the city to participate in a marriage ceremony to be held in Hotel Jehan Numa Palace.Tagore also happens to be the begum Bhopal and is better known in the city circles as Begum Aisha Pataudi. She is staying in Hotel Noor Us Sabah Palace. Now a day’s Sharmila is also promoting Door Darshan’s women based show ‘Mein Bhi Kuch Kar Sakti Hu’ (I could also do something) along with her actress daughter Soha Ali khan.
