Two minor boys were arrested on Sunday for allegedly raping a Dalit minor girl in the Dumduma area under the Khandagiri police limits in the city. The Commissionerate Police produced them before the Juvenile Justice Board at Khordha and then sent them to the juvenile home in Brahmapur. The matter came to light on Saturday night after the girl’s parents lodged a complaint with the Mahila police station. In their complaint, they alleged that the duo, of same locality, a week ago had lured her with chocolates, took her to an isolated place and raped her. When the girl narrated the matter to her family, the latter went to Khandagiri police for help. After maintaining silence over the issue, the Khandagiri police referred the case to the Mahila police station on Saturday. The Mahila police conducted a medical test on the victim and then carried another medical test on the accused thereby sent them to the juvenile board.
