Fourteen workers of the Border Roads Organisation were injured in a mishap while working on an old bridge near Hanuman Chatti on the Rishikesh-Badrinath national highway (NH 58). The mishap occurred at about 11 am on Monday following which the injured workers have been admitted to the army hospital in Joshimath.
According to sources, The BRO workers were trying to remove scrap from an old metal bridge near Hanuman Chatti using a JCB when a portion of the bridge collapsed injuring more than a dozen workers. The injured workers were taken in a BRO vehicle and admitted to the army hospital in Joshimath.
