Congratulatory messages poured in for Bollwyood actor Abhishek Bachchan, whose team Jaipur Pink Panthers won the first edition of the Pro Kabaddi league.
The 38-year-old actor's team pulled off a 35-24 victory over U Mumba to emerge as champions here last night. Several friends wished Abhishek on the victory of his team and leading the pack was his megastar father Amitabh Bachchan. "Jaipur Pink Panthers... You are champions yes.. But a terrific team! Team work pays well in any form," Bachchan, 71, posted on Twitter.
Actor Manoj Bajpayee said, "Congatulations on winning the first title. Pink Panther." Actress Bipasha Basu, who was present in the stands to cheer for the Pink Panthers, was elated after the team's win. "Awesome win for Jaipur Pink Panthers! Woohoo. Congrats," tweeted the 35-year-old actress along side a picture with Abhishek.
Farah Khan, director of Abhishek's upcoming Diwali release 'Happy New Year', said, "Congrats to our Nandu Bhide and his entire team." Congratulating Abhishek, his 'Happy New Year' co-star Sonu Sood tweeted, "You did it bhai. Party... Jaipur Panthers." 'Finding Fanny' star Arjun Kapoor said, "Full on Fiet Fiet brother! Well done Pink Panthers."
Arjun's '2 States' co-star Alia Bhatt also extended her wishes to Abhishek. "Congratulations for the super win! Wohoo again," the 21-year-old actress posted. Abhishek's 'Dhoom' co-star and childhood friend, Uday Chopra, said, "Congratulations. Pink is the new black!" "Congrats on your win & for making Pro Kabaddi such a rage, India is playing kabaddi again! Jaipur Pink Panthers," wrote filmmaker Kunal Kohli.
