Govt notifies new E-rick scheme
New Delhi: In a major step ahead of the Delhi Assembly polls, the city Government on Tuesday notified the new E-Rickshaw Sewa Scheme, paving the way for the battery- operated vehicles’ return on the national capital roads. The government’s move comes just days after the Cabinet on December 24 approved the promulgation of an ordinance as a bill pertaining to regulation of these vehicles could not get through the Parliament.
Three more swine flu cases in Delhi
New Delhi: Three fresh cases of swine flu were Tuesday reported in the Capital, taking the number this year to 35, health officials said. Two women, both aged 33, and a five-year-old boy were the three afflicted, a Delhi Government health department official told IANS. He said nine cases of swine flu have been reported in Delhi this month, including these three new cases.
Mishra given addl charge of DG, ITBP
New Delhi: Prakash Mishra, IPS (OR:77), Director General, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) will hold the additional charge of the post of DG, Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) from January1, 2015, after retirement on superannuation of ITBP DG Subhas Goswami, IPS (AM:77) on Wednesday.
PREZ ORDERS TRANSFER OF two ADDl hc judges
New Delhi: The President has ordered transfer of two additional High Court judges after consultation with the Chief Justice of India. By orders passed under clause (1) of Article 222 of Constitution, Justice Jaishree Thakur was transferred from Punjab and Haryana High Court to Rajasthan High Court as Additional Judge. Similarly, Justice Ashutosh Kumar of the Patna High Court was transferred to Delhi High Court. A press note issued by Union law Ministry said they have been asked to assume charge of their new offices before January 6, 2015.
