Union Minister for External Affairs Sushma Swaraj is visiting the State capital Gandhinagar on Thursday to examine preparedness of 13th Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas (PBD) to be held at Mahatma Mandir.
Senior Minister and Gujarat Government spokesman Saurabh Patel said that the Union Minister would arrive at the State capital on January 1st, 2015 in connection with upcoming annual event of Government of India — Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas.
Narendra Modi will inaugurate the three-day event of PBD starting from January 7, 2015. Modi will inaugurate PBD on 8th January, and traditionally valedictory function of PBD attended by the President of India every year.
