Bansal worked as a property dealer in Chandni Chowk and had on Monday evening visited the area with his son. “He had an appointment with a doctor in Daryaganj. His son later dropped him at a bus stand and left for work,” said a police official.

The attackers made it appear like a case of robbery to dissuade police. Preliminary investigations revealed he was murdered over a property  dispute. “We are trying to collect information about Bansal’s movement that can lead us to collect some information behind his murder,” said an officer, close to the investigation.
