Delhi now has a clean conscience!

Delhi Government undertook a massive cleanliness drive under Swachchh Bharat Abhiyan in different localities of South Delhi. The campaign was carried out from September 25-28 wherein a large number of officials from different Government agencies actively participated.

The drive undertaken under the supervision of District Magistrate (South) Niharika Rai gathered contribution from the representatives of NGOs, Gender Resource Centres and Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs) of South district.

Around 110 people participated in a session focused on the need to change the behaviour towards garbage disposal in Madangir area on September 25-26. Nukkad nataks were organised on September 27 in Tigri area to sensitise people to PM Narendra Modi’s initiative to make Bharat Swachchh (clean) and the positive effects of cleanliness in the area. Nearly 250 people participated in the drive.

Eighty people pitched in an awareness session in Hauz Rani regarding importance of cleanliness at homes houses and on streets. Sudarsan Sharma, a member of the municipal corporation, appealed to the public to participate in the cleanliness campaign and make it a success.
