The 36th traditional Rath Yatra Utsav of lord Jagannath was celebrated in Delhi at Hauz Khas Jagannath Mandir organised by Sree Neelachala Seva Sangh on June 29, 2014 at grand scale.
lakhs of devotees including men, women, ISKCON devotees and other social organisations participated in this festival in chanting Hare Krishna Hare Rama and Hari Bol throughout the journey. The Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh also reached the temple to take part in the procession.
After the traditional Cherapanhara, the Home Minister the colourful chariots carrying lord Jagannath, lord Balabhadra, Devi Subhadra and Sudarshan Maharaj were pulled by the faithful.
A huge procession at 2.30 pm passed Aurobindo Marg, Green Park, Yusuf Sarai Main Market and AIIMS before finally reaching Hauz Khas temple. The Attorney General of the Government of India, Mukul Rohtagi joined as a guest of honour in this festival.
