40-yr-old woman alleges gang-rape by three, including octogenarian

In a bizarre incident reported from the Hauz Khas area of South Delhi, a 40-year-old woman alleged she was gang-raped by three men, including two senior citizens aged 80 and 75 years. Initial investigations revealed that the accused persons were known to the victim. The third rapist, according to the police is a 40-year-old. Meanwhile, officials of Hauz Khas police station arrested one Vikas, who the woman had accused of raping her years back.

The gang-rape registered on Saturday night after the woman lodged a written complaint with the police but no arrest has been made so far. Police officials said that the case was being investigated and medical tests will be conducted on the two accused persons to ascertain their potency.

According to the police, the incident took place around 1 pm on Saturday. One of the accused Rajnarayan (40) whom the victim knew from the last five years asked her to meet him and promised to provide her a job as guard. The woman along with him reached Sai Temple, lodhi Colony where they also met another accused Relia (75). According to the woman’s complaint, the two accused then took her to their friend Kishore Narang’s (80) house in Hauz Khas area where Rajnarayan and Relia took turns to rape her. The woman claimed that they later dropped her near AIIMS Trauma Centre and fled. “In her complaint, she also alleged that around three years back, Narang, Rajnarayan, Relia and another person Vikas had gang-raped her at Narang’s house,” said a police official. A medical examination of the woman confirmed rape.

A case of gang-rape under Section 376D of Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered at Hauz Khas police station.
