Air strikes by combat jets have killed 29 militants and destroyed several hideouts in Pakistan's lawless tribal belt, security officials said.
The air strikes yesterday targeted militant positions in Orakzai and Khyber tribal regions.
In Orakzai Agency, raids were carried out at Arghanju, Saparsok and Tanboh.
Nine militants were killed and several others were injured, security officials were quoted as saying by TV news channels.
Three militant hideouts were destroyed in the area. Jets targeted militant positions in Dawathoi area of Khyber Agency and killed 20 rebels, including a commander. Four hideouts were destroyed in the area, officials said.
