Mukesh Kumar Sahni, the son of former Bihar Minister Ramashraya Sahni, had been nabbed with two stolen vehicles at Belari village in Samastipur district on Friday night.
Samastipur Superintendent of Police Varun Kumar Sinha said that an accomplice of Mukesh had also been arrested in this connection. He said that both of them were taken into custody when they were standing near a garage with the stolen vehicles — a car and a pick-up van.
Both vehicles were bearing fake registration numbers, informed the police officer.
Ramashraya Sahni was the State Animal Husbandry Minister during the lalu Prasad Government. He is presently the district RJD president of Samastipur.
