With kin of the slain Balipur pradhan Nanhe Yadav already accusing former Cabinet Minister Raghuraj Pratap Singh aka Raja Bhaiya of threatening them for their lives if they will come out with truth in the triple murder which included victim Deputy SP Zia-ul-Haq, the CBI sleuths reportedly grilled Raja Bhaiya’s brother Akshay Pratap Singh on Saturday.
Sources in the CBI confirmed that though the sleuths engaged in probe still not summoned Raja Bhaiya to confirm his role in the triple murder or over allegations of his threat to Nanhe Yadav’s kin, but they said to have called Akshay Pratap Singh at their make-shift Panchayat Bhawan office on Saturday afternoon. The team members cross-question Akshay Pratap Singh about allegations made on his family members. The grilling reportedly continued till the night.
Sources said that after extracting facts about role of some of Raja Bhaiya’s known henchmen, the CBI is now likely to grill Raghuraj Pratap Singh any time particularly to record his statement before proceeding ahead with the legal formalities.
The trouble for Raghuraj Pratap Singh which began after Praveen Azad accused him and his henchmen for orchestrating the killing of her husband, now further deepened as even slain gram pradhan’s family members came on record to make similar allegations and accused Raja Bhaiya for conspiring to kill all the three on the evening of March 2 last.
