livid teachers climb water tank at Patelnagar

Incensed over negligent attitude of the State Government towards their pending demands, three trained teachers of BPEd Trained Unemployed Union climbed atop an overhead water tank in Patelnagar area on Monday evening.

According to Patelnagar police station incharge Vinod Gusain, the union members Devendra, Vikram and Harish climbed atop the water tank around 4 pm. Police reached the site after being informed. The trio was atop the water tank at the time of this report being filed.

According to union president Ram Krishna Nautiyal, their demands include appointment as physical education teacher in Government primary and junior schools and as physical education lecturers in Government higher secondary schools. The BPEd trained unemployed should not be appointed in the Government schools through outsourcing but be appointed directly, he added.
