Punjabto reimburse telephone bills online
Chandigarh: Punjab Government has decided to reimburse telephone bills online directly in the bank accounts of its employees/officers, streamlining the process. A spokesman of Punjab Government on Monday said that earlier telephone bills were paid via cheques and drafts, which would now be paid online.
Applications invited for allotment of govt houses
Chandigarh: Punjab Government has invited applications from its employees for the allotment of Punjab Government accommodation situated at Sector 39-C and D till March 8, 2013.
‘ensure proper respect for National Flag’
Chandigarh: Punjab Government has directed the Divisional Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners and SDMs of the State to ensure proper implementation of the provisions contained in the Flag Code of India 2002 and Prevention of Insult to National Honour Act 1971. A spokesman of the Government said that strict action would be taken against the concerned officials and individuals/organisations for any violation of the provisions contained in the said Act and the Flag Code of India. He said that the punishment would be of three years of imprisonment, a fine or both.
Info sought on personal staff details
Chandigarh: Punjab Government has directed the Chief Secretary, Financial Commissioners, Principal/Special Secretaries, Additional/Joint Secretaries and Deputy/Under Secretaries and others to submit the details of the personal/General staff attached with them by March 31 to the Government so that their confidential reports for 2012-13 could be submitted in April 2013.
Punjab to monitor redressal of grievances
Chandigarh: Punjab Government has activated its grievances redressal machinery and has asked all the departments to submit the monthly and quarterly reports regularly regarding the redressal of public grievances. An official spokesperson said that in the written instructions to all the Departmental Heads and Deputy Commissioners, it has also been told to submit the cases of public grievances, which are pending since more than three months. He said that they have been instructed to furnish the proceedings of the cases, which were still being probed. The spokesperson further said that the final report in this regard should be submitted to the Grievances Redressal Department.
Depts told to submit legislative proposals
Chandigarh: Punjab legal and legislative Affairs Department has asked all the departments to submit legislative proposals, which are to be submitted in the legislative Assembly, in time. An official spokesperson said that the Budget Session of the legislative Assembly has been scheduled to commence on March 11. Many of the departments have still not submitted their legislative proposals.
Info on deduction of CPF/DA sought
Chandigarh: Punjab Government has issued strict instructions to furnish data of deduction of contributory pension fund (CPF), dearness allowance (DA) and other arrears of IAS/PCS officers. An official spokesperson of the Finance Department said that Assistant Controller, Finance and Accounts, Personnel Department has been told to submit data of monthly deduction under new pension scheme CPF, dearness allowance and other arrears of IAS/PCS officers appointed on or after January 1, 2004 from the date of their joining up till March 31, 2011 to Deputy Director, Pension/New Pension Scheme, SAS Nagar.
Avinash Rai khanna meets Rajnath singh
Chandigarh: Member Rajya Sabha and Incharge Bharatiya Janta Party’s human rights cell, Avinash Rai Khanna, on Monday met BJP national president Rajnath Singh. Khanna informed Singh about the initiatives he took for raising issues of Jammu and Kashmir time and again. He also gifted Rajnath Singh a book — Mera Ek Yatan —chronicling different news reports of the protests and dharna held in the Valley.
Delegation from California meets HOODA
Chandigarh: A 30-member delegation from California, US, called on Haryana Chief Minister, Bhupinder Singh Hooda in New Delhi and discussed with him the possibility of cooperation in different fields of agriculture. The delegation included four Deans of different Universities and 26 Chief Executive Officers of companies. The delegation was led by Karamdeep Singh Bains, Director of a District Agriculture Association. The members of the delegation explained about the expertise they had and the technological know-how, which they could offer in the fields of agriculture farming, drip irrigation, education, power, horticulture, cold storage facilities etc. The delegation agreed to have a meeting in this regard on February 24 in Chandigarh.
Accident-prone points in State TO BE identified
Chandigarh: Haryana Transport Department has decided to get accident-prone points in the State identified afresh by conducting a survey through Public Works (Building and Roads) Department, Traffic Police and other concerned Department. Transport Commissioner, Sumita Misra said that earlier a joint survey was conducted by the Traffic Police and Public Works (Building and Roads) Department in which 1,170 accident-prone points were identified in the year 2010. About 800 of these points have already been rectified.
CAUGHT RED-HANDED FOR ACCEPTING BRIBE
Chandigarh: Haryana State Vigilance Bureau has caught Sub-Inspector, Surender Singh, Station House Officer, Police Station Adampur, district Hisar and Jagdish, a resident of Adampur district Hisar red handed while accepting an illegal gratification of `30,000 from lilu Ram, a resident of Siswal in same district in lieu of registration of false case against the complainant. A case has been registered and further investigation of the case is in progress.
