State Finance Minister and MlA from Haldwani Assembly constituency Indira Hridayesh claims to have got sanctioned Rs129.84 lakh for improving drinking water supply in different parts of her Assembly constituency.
More so, she has also maintained that an amount Rs131.045 lakh for construction of a sewer line between Kathgodam and Hydel area of the Haldwani Assembly constituency has also been approved. Out of the total aforesaid amount approved for improving drinking water supply, an amount of Rs41.70 lakh has been sanctioned for laying a new pipeline in Haldwani’s Talli Bamori area.
Similarly, to construct a new drinking water pipeline under the Damuwadhunga drinking water scheme, an amount of Rs40.27 lakh has been approved. This new pipeline will cater to areas like Talla Bairikhatta, Himalaya Colony, Gayitri Colony, Krishna Colony, Jamrani Road Colony to name a few, said the local MlA.
Besides, an amount of Rs43.66 lakh has also been approved for purchasing water tankers which will help meet the drinking water crisis, added Hridayesh.
At the same time, under the Kushumkhera drinking water project, an amount of Rs4.21 lakh has also been sanctioned which will definitely help in meeting the drinking water requirements of the Kushumkhera area, the local MlA expressed hope.
Besides, an amount of Rs131.045 lakh has also been approved for improving sewerage situation particularly in Kathgodam-Hydel area.
In this regard, a sewer line will be constructed between Kathgodam and Hydel area, the local MlA further said.
In the meanwhile, strict instructions have been issued to the officials concerned to ensure timely construction of the drinking water lines so that drinking water services could be put in place and smooth drinking water supply could be ensured to the citizens before arrival of the summer season, Haridayesh added.
