A total of five police officers including the SDPO posted at Barhi sub-division have been found defaulter in the review of their works done by DIG Suman Gupta. The officers against whom DIG Gupta has reported to the headquarter are SDPO Vinod Kumar Sinha, OIC Barhi Sanjeev Kumar, Ex-OIC Chauparan Gopal Krishna Yadav, OIC Chauparan Keshav Kumar and OIC Barkattha Kamal Narayan Singh.
DIG Suman Gupta had reviewed the functioning of officers posted at Barhi sub-division on February 28 and had found that the officers posted there, were not serious towards their duties and there was lack of transparency in their works. Besides this most of them had been punished previously and departmental proceedings were going on against them. In review DIG Gupta found that the OIC never himself investigated even the cases of murder, rape, dacoit and illegal arms deal etc. She also found that SDPO without investigating the matters gave clean-chit to the erring officers in-charge.
