Water Resources Minister and in-charge of Bhopal district Jayant Malaiya has said that all the sports activities enchant, but displaying skills in the air is a very adventurous activity. Malaiya was speaking at Bhoj Adventure Fest-2013 on the premises of Nehru Nagar-based Kaliyasot Complex.
Malaiya said that adventure sports will be made a regular feature. He congratulated Bhopal Collector and Chairman of Bhopal Tourism Promotion Council (BTPC) for organising this event consecutively for the third year for popularising adventure sports in Madhya Pradesh.
Member of Parliament Kailash Joshi said that new programmes have been added to Bhoj Adventure Event during the last three years, which is commendable. Joshi laid emphasis on coaching and provision of other facilities to player for honing their skills.
He further said that the sports budget in the State has been increased by many fold in the State in last few years. MlA Jitendra Daga and other public representatives were present on the occasion.
On the first day of the fest Aero-modeling, Para jumping, sky diving, hot air balloon, Para motoring and Para rolling were displayed. International golfer Jyoti Randhawa, retired Group Captain RMS Sengar and Ajay Sharma left the audience spell-bound by their parasailing show and diving to the ground taking summersaults from a height of about 10,000 feet.
Randhawa on this occasion said that he has dived to the ground in many cities but none of them looked as beautiful as Bhopal. lakes of Bhopal have increased the city’s beauty, it felt like landing on an island due to the water all around.
