To groom scientific talents, the Kishor Vaigyanik Protshahan Yojana (KVPY) Scholarship Exam is conducted by the Indian Institute of Science and Technology every year. For the first time, 14 students from Class XI, out of the total 32 and five from Class XII out of 21 of the DAV Chandrasekharpur School here have successfully qualified in the exam this year. This is so far the highest success rate from any individual school.
All the successful students would receive Rs 5,000 scholarship per month till completion of their higher studies. They would also get scope to study in renowned institutions like IISER and NISER.
The students include Pratitha Kar, Kisalaya Mishra, Sattwik Dev Mishra, Abhinam Satapatwa, Arnav, Shayani Parida, Nirit Panigrahi, Abhipsa Anuran Jena, Gourav Panigrahi, Sivasis jena, likhit Nayak, Manpreet Dash, Vassalla Routray and Amit Kabi from Class XI and Anuva Aiswaya, Anshuman Panda, Sudeshna Rout, Kirti Prakash Sahoo and Roshan Patra from Class XII.
