Condemning the incident of terror blasts in Hyderabad, Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna said that it is cowardly bid and expressed regret over the death and prayed for early recovery for the injured one. Following the bomb blast, CM has categorically instructed the police to make full-proof arrangements to avert such incident in the State. Uttarakhand Director General of Police Satyavrat also issued a high alert in the State on Thursday evening.
Following the red alert, police presence was increased at different places in the State especially in the areas with mixed populations to prevent any untoward incident. Bomb squads and dog squads have been put on high alert, said a Police Head Quarter official. According to him, security was spruced up at railway stations, bus stations, important hotels, business establishments and Government offices following the Hyderabad blasts. Extra barricades were put at different roads in the State with police checking all the vehicles at Inter State Bus Terminal. The vehicles were not allowed to stand for more than two to three minutes at the bus stations and other places.
