Child sex ratio shows improvement in Haryana

After an abysmal showing in the 2011 census, the child sex ratio (CSR) in Haryana has registered a slight improvement with 850 females per 1,000 males in the State.

The CSR recorded in 2011 was 830 females per 1,000 males.

Talking at a public function in Panchkula, the State Health Minister Rao Narender Singh said, “The positive change was a result of innovative schemes being implemented by the State Government.”

Meanwhile, the Minister added that the budget of the State Health department had been increased to Rs1,600 crore from Rs300 crore.
