Canara Bank executive director Archana S Bhargava said that the bank had established 16 new ATMs and five ultra small branches between April 2012 and January 2013 in Uttarakhand. The bank is going to open 10 more branches and around 41 more ATMs in the next financial year in the State.
Bhargava said the bank will make all-out efforts to achieve the goals set under annual action plan and implement all directives issued by Ministry of Finance and Reserve Bank of India. As part of Corporate Social Responsibility, the bank conducted many social activities in various parts of the state.
The Canara Bank has 3683 branches and 3394 ATMs in India with total business of Rs 539981 crore. The bank has 41 branches and 41 ATMs in Uttarakhand.
She further said that the cash deposit ratio of Uttarakhand is 50.07 per cent as in December 2012. The bank has introduced on-line submission and tracking of loan applications for agriculture, small and medium enterprises and education.
