As many as 54 villages, including 45 villages from the Kichha tehsil and nine villages from the Gadarpur tehshil, will be included in the proposed Rudrapur tehsil in Udham Singh Nagar.
A proposal in regard to creation of Rudapur as new tehsil had already been sent from the district administration to the revenue council in January. The Jila panchayat had also given its nod to the proposal of creation of Rudrapur as tehsil on June 15, 2010, said Brajesh Kumar Sant, District Magistrate, Udham Singh Nagar.
At the same time, suggestions and objections from the local MP, MlAs, other public representatives and villagers have been also invited on the issue of inclusion of the 54 villages in the proposed Rudrapur tehsil till February 27, 2013, the District Magistrate, Udham Singh Nagar, further said.
After receiving the suggestions and objections from the public representatives or stake holders till February 27, 2013, the committee set up under the chairmanship of the District Magistrate, in Udham Singh Nagar, to deal with Rudrapur tehsil creation issue, will discuss these suggestions and objections in its meeting which is scheduled to be held on February 28, 2013.
Therefore, we have appealed to all the public representatives to attend this meeting on February 28, 2013, said Sant, adding suggestions and objections received after the aforesaid dated won't be considered and all the suggestions and objections after this meeting will be sent to the revenue council for taking the final decision.
Some of the villages which have to be included in the proposed Rudrapur tehsil from Kichha tehsil include Danpur, Kolada, Bagwala, Rampura, Fazalpurmahraula, Jagatpura, Rudrapur, lamra, Bigwara, Shimlapistor, Matkota, Bhurarani, Bindukhera, Bhamrola, Malsagirdharpur, Malsi, Kuraiya, Rahpura, Saijani, Bigdora, Kalyanpur, Chhttarpur, Inderpur, Pandari, Turkagauri, Gaurikala, Baharabhoj, Devriya, Shripur, Rameshwarpur, Kotha, Maharajpur, lohara, lohari, Phoolbag, Phoolsunga, Phoolsugi, Kanakpura, Pratapur,, Gangapurpatiya, Bhura Gauri, Nagla and Anandpur.
Similarly, some of the villages which have to be included in the proposed Rudrapur tehsil from the Gadarpur tehsil are Vijaynagar, Srirampur, Jaynagar, Raipur, Amarpur, Khanpur- east, lambakhera, Saidaliganj and Jafarpur, informed the official of the in Udham Singh Nagar district administration.
Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna had announced creation of Rudrapur as new tehsil keeping in view the demand of people and the public representatives. Thus as many as 54 villages including 45 villages from the Kichha tehsil and nine villages from the Gadarpur tehshil will be included in the proposed Rudrapur tehsil, the District Magistrate further said.
