3 Maoist sympathisers arrested in Koraput

Three Maoist supporters were arrested by the joint forces of Naryanpatna police and Special Operation Group (SOG) when a combing operation was going on at Dumbeselli village of Podapadar gram panchayat under Narayanpatna police station in Koraput district, said police sources on Saturday.

The arrested Maoist supporters were identified as Sugriba Nachika, Jugala Kenduka and Zebedo Kendruka of the nearby villages of Podapadar area. Jugala Kenduka was involved in two murder cases, while the other two were working for the ultras to set landmines and clamour mines.

They all were working under Maoist leaders Daya and Aruna of Andhra-Odisha Border Zonal Committee of the CPI (Maoist).

The police forwarded the Maoist supporters to the JMFC court at laxmipur. As their bail was rejected at the court, they were sent to Koraput circle jail, said Narayanpatna IIC Satyajit Mishra while briefing the media persons here.
