School meet ahead of April 7 JEE exam

The city schools and college principals including Kendriya Vidyalayas, DAV group schools, Gossner College and Doranda College organised a meeting under the aegis of Taurian World School Principal DR Singh on Saturday to discuss the modalities for the Joint Entrance Examination 2013 scheduled on April 7.

As many as 12 lakh students will appear for the entrance across the nation this year of which 22, 238 candidates will be from Ranchi. “Next meeting regarding the same issue will be conducted on April 6,” said DR Singh.

CP Singh visits Nirja Sahay Vedic Camp

Jharkhand State Assembly speaker CP Singh visited the ongoing Vedic camp at Nirja Sahay DAV Public School on Saturday. He applauded DAV public schools for producing great souls of pinnacle with moral values.

35-yr-old killed for Dowry in Garhwa

One Savita Devi (35) was allegedly killed by her in-laws at Duldulwa village under Meral police station, on Friday night. According to father of the deceased, Suresh Tiwari, her daughter’s husband and in-laws used to torture her for dowry.  An FIR has been lodged in the Meral police station.

JVM MP to address PAN-IIM ’13 meet

 JVM MP Ajoy Kumar has been invited by the organisers of the global PAN-IIM- 2013 meet to be held in Singapore on April 6. He would address the gathering as one of the chief speakers. The meet will also be attended by PM Manmohan Singh as chief guest. The Singapore PM will also attend the meet.
