Seriously CHARRED 11-year-old girl recovers

Dehradun: A seriously burned 11-year-old Anita Negi who got electric shock and burn injuries was recuperated by the doctors. She was suffering from 35-40 per cent deep burns on her face, neck, chest, abdomen and both her upper limbs and was recovered.

State Govt’s MOVE ON house tax calculation hailed

Dehradun: leader of Opposition in the Municipal Corporation of Dehradun, Ashok Verma, has welcomed the State Government decision to implement the earlier system of house tax calculation in areas under the purview of urban local bodies. Addressing mediapersons, Verma said that this was one of the steps taken by the Congress Government for public welfare. Using the old system for building tax calculation will facilitate income for local bodies without burdening the people with additional expense. He said that the previous State Government was going to implement the self assessment system for building tax calculation which would have increase the burden of expense on the public.
