Sir — This refers to the news report, “Mulayam at unpredictable best” (March 30). The king-maker-cum-prime ministerial aspirant has used 3Cs ( clever, cheat, corrupt) to describe the Congress-led ruling coalition, yet his support continues, ostensibly in the name of the fourth ‘C’ — Communal forces — not to mention a fifth ‘C’, the Central Bureau of Investigation.
The reality is that Netaji is caught in his own trap. Though he wants to get off the UPA bandwagon he cannot because he wants to have the power to negotiate. Must we be saddled with such an incumbent to the top post should the Third Front materialiseIJ It is to be hoped that such a situation does not arise.
