Sir — This refers to the article, “Third Front and all the whispers in the corridors” (March 29) by Kalyani Shankar. The writer has lamented about the dismal state of affairs of coalition politics in India, including post-poll alliances which have hit a nadir in terms of moral values.
In plain terms, it means that once the results are known, horse trading begins for a slice of power and its consequent benefits. This often ends up in a coalition which does not actually reflect the will of the masses. We can do without such coalitions.
