A 24-year-old married woman was kidnapped and gang-raped in a moving car by three persons and then abandoned on road. The gang-rape was reported on February 11 and the police have arrested all accused and a case has been registered in Shahabad Dairy police station. The victim was lured on the pretext of returning the money that one of the accused had borrowed from her. She was forced into a car and then gang-raped.
The police have arrested all accused involved in the gang-rape case from Sannot in Haryana. They have been identified as Pawan, Praveen and Bheel. "The victim was taken to Deen Dayal Upadhyay hospital for medical examination and the report confirmed rape. A case of gang-rape and kidnapping has been registered at Shahabad Dairy police station," said a police officer. According to police, the 24- year-old victim lives in Patel Nagar with her husband. The main accused Pawan was known to her and had even borrowed money from her in the past.
It has been revealed that accused Pawan induced her into believing him that he was willing to pay her back the borrowed amount. Pawan called her up and asked her to come to Shahabad Dairy area to take back the amount. She was astonished to find Pawan accompanied by two unidentified persons. Before she could realise that something was amiss, she was dragged inside and all the three took turns in raping her in the moving car. They then threw her on the roadside and threatened her of dire consequences if she lodged a complaint against them.
The victim somehow managed to reach her residence and narrated incident to her husband who works in a private firm. He took her to the police station and lodged a complaint about the incident. Police said two of the accused belong to Sannot and the other one is from Jhinjhori, in Haryana. They all have been arrested and sent to Tihar. Police have also recovered the car that was used in the crime.
In a separate incident, a 60-year-old man was arrested for allegedly trying to rape a four-year-old girl, police said on Monday. The incident was reported from south-west Delhi's Naraina area on Sunday evening. The accused was reportedly hired by victim's family for whitewashing the house. After finding the victim alone at the house, the accused tried to rape her. However, he could not succeed in actually raping the child, police said. The accused was arrested from the spot itself, said police. The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital for medical examination where it was confirmed that no penetrative sex had taken place. The accused has been booked under relevant Sections of the Indian Penal Code, said police.
