37 fresh cases of swine flu reported

Tuesday, 19 February 2013 | SR | New Delhi

Thirty seven fresh cases of swine flu were reported on Monday, taking the total number of swine flu cases in the city to 457. With the number of cases being reported each day is gradually decreasing, the Government hopes that the situation will improve in the days to come.

A total of 16 cases were reported at Safdarjung Hospital, three at Hindu Rao Hospital, two cases each at Guru Teg Bahadur, lady Harding and Sanjay Gandhi Hospital, one case at Ram Manohar lohai Hospital and the rest from other private hospitals and clinics.

However constant rains, increase in the humidity level followed by a dip in minimum temperate has resulted in the spread of the virus. While Saturday had reported two deaths and Sunday had reported a total of 60 cases, Monday had only 37 cases across the city.
