With the talks between protesters and the Central expert panel on Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant (KNPP) failing and the DMK charging the Centre and the State with an attitude of indifference, the Tamil Nadu Government on Saturday announced that it has decided to constitute an expert panel to look into the ‘fears and concerns’ of locals over the project.
Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa made the announcement to this effect at the Tamil Nadu Assembly and added that the expert panel would submit its report to the State Government. Action by the Government will be taken based on the report submitted by the committee.
