| The house of an automobile businessman was robbed of cash and jewellery worth at least Rs 1 crore in the posh Sainik Farms area of South Delhi on Friday. The robbery reportedly took place between 12 and 5 am on the intervening night between Thursday and Friday but the family came to know about it only around 8 am the following morning. |

HC orders Rs 10 lakh relief for widow of cattle menace victim |
| Criticising the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) for its failure to prevent menace of stray cattle in the Capital, the Delhi High Court has allowed a compensation of Rs 10 lakh to a widow whose husband died due to the fighting between two stray bulls on the road. The Court, however, asked the civic body to deposit the amount with the registry within four weeks, which would be deposited as fixed deposit subsequently for three years and after maturity, the amount would be disbursed to Shakuntala, wife of the deceased. |

Study finds DJB unable to track demand |

| Power distribution company BSES on Friday made out a strong case for the continuance of CISF cover at its installations, saying the Centre's decision to withdraw the security force will severely hamper the company's crusade against power theft in the city. The company said, it will appeal against the decision as "it violates a 2004 Supreme Court order," which had directed the State and Union Governments to provide the necessary protection to officials of the discoms during anti-power theft drives. |

No hike in theatre tax, says MCD |
| The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has refused to hike the theatre tax in the Capital to Rs 1,000. Delhi Mayor Kanwar Sain said on Friday that the civic body will review the policy of increasing theater show tax. Sain said that the proposal, which was sent to the Delhi Government about five years back, seeks amendment of the fourth schedule of Delhi Municipal Act (DMC). |

With Bijwasan, the development of which as a full fledge station had been put on hold for several years, Delhi will boast of three world-class railway stations-- New Delhi, Anand Vihar and Bijwasan. The court also slapped the police with a cost of Rs 25,000 for illegally picking him up from Delhi and detaining in a lock-up in Ahmedabad and also subjected him to mental torture for a week. |
