‘All villages to get road connection by 2013’

Panchayat, Rural Development and Social Justice Minister Gopal Bhargav has said that by 2013 all the villages in the State would be connected with roads throughout the year.
Replying to budgetary demands of his department in the Assembly, the Minister said that Chief Minister Road Plan has been prepared through which, all the villages would be linked from the roads at three levels. He further informed the Government has allocated total Rs 3,886 crore has been allocated after creating 26 crore man days in the state under National Employment Guarantee Scheme.
Bhargav while mentioning National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme said that Central Government had announced payment through the banks without preparation. There is delay in the wage-payment due to the weak banking system. He informed that over 14 lakh families are working in the state under the scheme.
While mentioning the Bundelkhand Package, he said that state has got total Rs 1,853 crore under three financial years and plans for the development have been prepared on the basis of allocation of budget.
He said that Madhya Pradesh is the first state, which give 50 per cent reservation to the women in panchayat and took steps aiming women empowerment.
