Chhattisgarh Police on Wednesday arrested two persons and seized 1.450 kg of opium and 29.20 kg of ‘doda’ powder, known as the poor man's heroin, totally valued at Rs 4.5 lakhs in Raipur city.
Raipur Additional Superintendent of Police (City) Tarkeshwar Patel identified the two as Mandeep Singh Randhawa (42) and Ranjeet Singh Dhillon (32), both from Maharashtra.
The police caught them when they were on their way to deliver drugs to their clients.
They told the police that they brought the consignment from Jahrkhand.
