Senior IAS officer Asit Kumar Tripathy took over as the 43rd Chief Secretary of the State on Monday.
Tripathy took charge from outgoing CS Aditya Prasad Padhi in the presence of Secretaries of various departments and other senior bureaucrats. He was greeted by senior bureaucrats, top police officers and other Government officials. ‘On taking charge, Tripathy said that he would stress on a ‘rocket speed’ movement of files and expedite decision making processes.
With long experiences in various Central and State Government assignments, Tripathy is known for his dynamic approach and faster decision making.
Tripathy said he would give stress on implementation of “5Ts” (Teamwork, Transparency, Technology, Transformation and Time) in all departments. With the State Government pumping more and more funds in the infrastructure sector, faster decision making at the level of Chief Secretary would boost development in the sector, said a senior senior officer.
