Asking Chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat to provide a detailed report on the status of disaster in Uttarakhand, the Union Minister of Home Affairs, Amit Shah has assured all necessary assistance from the Centre to the State. The chief minister met the union minister in the national capital on Monday. He informed Shah about the loss of lives and cost of damage wreaked by disaster in the state so far this year. While meeting the Union Minister, the Chief Minister informed him that so far a total of 32 people had died in various places due to disaster in the state this year. According to a preliminary estimate, the State has suffered damage amounting to Rs 175 crore due to disaster, said Rawat. Seeking a detailed report on the status of disaster in the state, the Union MNinister assured the Chief MNinister that the Centre would provide all necessary assistance to the State.
