State Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday lauded the launching of piped cooking gas project and two CNG stations in the State Capital and said that it is biggest gifts to the women of the State.

The State BJP Spokesperson Pratul Shahdeo said that the project of giving refill of second cylinder free of cost under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana has been started. “Under the Ujwala scheme, crores of women in the country have got rid of smoke. In Jharkhand, more than 32 lakh women have got freedom from smoke till now and a target has been set to link 10 lakh more women by September. Jharkhand is the first State in the country where the State government also gives cooking stove free with cylinders,” he added.

“For a long time in Jharkhand, the Government had taken a pledge that gas would reach to the doorsteps through pipes.

Today this dream came true and soon the urban gas distribution project will be expanded to other areas and cities,” said Shahdeo.

Expressing happiness over the State Government’s effort, Shahdeo said that today Chief Minister Raghubar Das, while describing the Lord Krishna-Arjuna dialogue of the Gita, said that one should do good deeds and you should not worry about the fruit.

“The condition and direction of the state is changing due to the long line of development that the State Government has drawn in the last five years,” he added.
