The players of Madhya Pradesh exhibited a brilliant performance at India Youth Games. The players have won two gold medals in the India Youth Games in Tennis and Boxing games.
The first medal was won by Madhya Pradesh Tennis player Mehak Jain and the second gold medal was won by boxing player Ruchir Shrivastav.
It is to be noted that the player of Madhya Pradesh State Martial Arts Boxing Academy, Ruchir Shrivastava defeated Uttar Pradesh junior national champion Manish Rathore by 3-2 points. Ruchir defeated Manish while showcasing talent in the semi-final match of the boxing match played at India Youth Games and won the gold medal for Madhya Pradesh. Besides, in the finals, Ruchir Shrivastava defeated Haryana's Anshul by 3-2 points.
Besides, Boxing Academy's player Divya Pawar and Anjali Sharma made their place in the final by winning their semi-finals in Under-21 today. Divya Pawar defeated Chhattisgarh player Rajbala by 3-2 points. On the other hand Anjali Sharma defeated Maharashtra's player Gauri by 5-0 points.
Similarly, in the final of the India Youth Games played here, Mehak Jain honored Madhya Pradesh by defeating Maharashtra player Mahika Yadav 6-4 points, 6-1 to win the gold medal and made Madhya Pradesh proud.
Director Sports and Youth Welfare S.L. Thoussen encouraged the players by giving them grace and congratulated the players for their outstanding performance in the championship.
