Tuesday, 20 August 2019 | PNS | Ranchi

Jharkhand Skill Development Mission Society (JSDMS) will construct migration support centres at seven cities across the country where most of the trained youths go in search for jobs. These seven cities include New Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Tiripur, Kolkata and Nimrana.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the society, Amar Jha, said, "In the first phase, migration support centre will be constructed."

He informed that these cities have been selected as a number of youth are trained and given employment at companies situated there.

"The centres will work as embassy of JSDMS and help the youth in getting PF, identity cards, salary slips, overtime payment and others if needed. A major reason to set up these centres is to ensure that the youth don’t return home when they face minor problems and continue with their jobs," Jha said.

The society has selected two service providers for establishing the centres. Venture Skill Pvt Ltd will set up the centres at Tirupur in Tamil Nadu and Nimrana in Rajasthan while JITM Skills Pvt Ltd will work in New Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai and Kolkata.

These centres will have the capacity of 100 beds each and will also have counselors which will help coordinate between the trained youth and companies.

The counselors will provide help the youth get salaries, PF, leaves, document verification, facilitating travel to hometown during leaves and other works.

"All the facilities at these migration centres will be funded by JSDMS and those who get jobs will be provided free of cost stay at these centres for at least a month," Jha said.

Till date JSDMS has provided jobs to 3,000 youths in Delhi, 200 in Hyderabad, 1,400 in Kolkata, 3,000 in Chennai and around 1,000 in other cities in various private sectors.
