State health minister T.S. Singhdeo on Friday announced in the state assembly that a combat team would be constituted and a special vaccination drive would be launched in order to check the deadly swine flu disease in the state.
He was answering to the call attention motion moved by Congress legislator Kunwar Nishad and BJP legislators Shivratan Sharma and Ajay Chandrakar.
The minister also announced in the state assembly of taking help of women health workers ‘Mitanins’ in combating swine flu, which has spread its tentacles in certain parts of the state.
In the assembly the minister also confirmed that seven of the patients in the state died of swine flu, which includes Joint Director Health Mahendra Janghel.
On a question raised by former chief minister and JCC (J) legislator Ajit Jogi, he further informed that 3322 vaccines of swine flu were available in the state which would be administered to the legislators too as they come in contact of so many people.
