Divya Pawar, player of Madhya Pradesh State Boxing Academy, exhibited a brilliant performance and won a gold medal Khelo India Youth Games.
The India Youth Games are being played in Pune, Maharashtra. Academy's talented player Divya Pawar defeated Haryana's Shivni by 5-0 points in the final match of the 54 kilogram weight category on Saturday by winning the gold medal, made Madhya Pradesh proud. While Anjali Sharma, a boxed academy player, gave the silver medal to Madhya Pradesh in the 48 kg category. In the final match played on Saturday, Anjali Sharma had to be satisfied with the silver medal and Haryana's player Neetu won the gold medal.
It is worth mentioning that Khelo India's Youth Games champion Divya Pawar has given two-gold and one bronze medal to the country in international competitions. Divya Pawar and Anjali Sharma are getting training in boxing game from Roshanlal, the Chief Instructor of the Boxing Academy.
Besides, it is to be noted that at Khelo India's Youth Games, Madhya Pradesh State Archery Academy's player Muskan Kirar has made a place in the final. Final match will be played on Sunday.
Moreover, at Khelo India Youth Games, Madhya Pradesh players have given 30 medals to Madhya Pradesh so far. These include 8 gold, 7 silver and 15 bronze medals. The medal includes 21 gold medals, 6 gold, 4 silver and 11 bronze earned by academy players. Under this, the players of the shooting academy had three gold, one silver and three bronze, two boxing players and one silver, athletics academy players, one gold, one silver and four bronze, one wrestling Academy player and one silver and three Bronze, and Judo Academy players have earned a bronze, thus totaling 21 medals.
