Cops rescue two men trapped in burning car in Dilshad Garden

The sleuths of Delhi Police deputed on Police Control Room (PCR) van on Saturday night saved lives of two persons trapped in a burning car near Dilshad Garden area.

The persons who were trapped in the burning car have been identified as Kamil, a resident of Jama Masjid area of Delhi and Multazin, a resident of Meerut. The duo was on way from Meerut to Delhi when the incident occurred.

According to a senior police official, a police control room (PCR) was received at about 11.23 pm on Saturday that two persons are entrapped in a burning car near a police booth in Dilshad Garden.

“Following the call, the PCR immediately rushed to the spot and found a Chevrolet Beat car on fire. Two persons were trapped in the burning car and struggling to come out,” said the senior police official.

“The police team on PCR van broke the window glass of the car and pulled out both persons trapped inside the car. Simultaneously they used fire extinguisher available with the PCR van to douse the fire,” said the senior police official.

“There were no injuries to victims. The police team displayed presence of mind, professionalism and high sense of duty and saved lives of persons trapped in the car on fire,” the senior police official added.
