Sunday, 25 August 2019 | PNS | Ranchi

Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) on Saturday alleged that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is trying to displace local and tribal from Santhal Paragna area to usurp huge quantity of minerals like gold, iron and coal of found in the area.

Addressing a press meet, party general secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya said the BJP is focusing on Santhal Pargana and Kolhan area because of its abundance of mineral resources. “Biggest coal belt of Asia is in Santhal Pargana, Kolhan is rich of Iron mines and in Khtkuti area of the region a huge resource of Gold was found. BJP is trying to displace the local and tribal living in the area through a planned conspiracy but JMM will not let them to succeed in their heinous attempt. In upcoming State Assembly election people of the area will give them a big blow and the party will be wiped out from the State. Amit Shah’s visit will not impact our prospects as people know intention of BJP,” he added.

Speaking on the future strategy of the party Bhattacharya said that former Chief Minister and Executive president of the party, Hemant Soren will start ‘Badlaw Yatra’ from August 26 and will visit every district of the State to meet people through his public meeting and he will also inform about the heinous agenda of the State Government through public meetings. The party will organize a huge Badlaw Rally on October 21 in the State Capital, he added.

Hitting hard on BJP and its ally JD (U) in Bihar the party General Secretary said BJP knows that there is immense anger among people against its government in the State so that to confuse voters of JMM as the party symbol is bow and arrow where as JD (U)’s election symbol is arrow.

“JD (U) had appealed to Election Commission of India (ECI) to cease JMM’s symbol in Bihar and ECI had ceased the party’s symbol in Bihar. On similar ground JMM met ECI to ceased symbol of JD (U) in Jharkhand and ECI accepted the party’s request and ceased JD (U)’s symbol in the State.
