On the occasion of his birthday on Friday, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel flagged off a half-marathon for malnutrition eradication.
Large number of school students, youth and public representatives participated in the half-marathon.
Chief Minister in his address to the gathering said that youngsters have commendably lived up to their responsibilities by organising 'Halla Bol Half Marathon' to create public awareness about malnutrition.
The marathon was organised by the NSUI, the students’ body of the Congress.
He added that community participation is necessary in this battle against malnutrition, to build a healthy and empowered Chhattisgarh. MLAs Mohan Markam and Devendra Yadav and Raipur Municipal Corporation Mayor Pramod Dubey also participated in the marathon. Participants greeted Baghel on his birthday.
