AJSU Party comes up with 12 names in first list

The AJSU Party on Monday created ripples amid ongoing stalemate over seat sharing agreement with its alliance partner Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and announced its first list of 12 candidates, in which it has announced names of at least three candidates against BJP.

Addressing a press meet organised by the party in the evening, AJSU Party Spokesperson Deosharan Bhagat announced names of 12 candidates and said that the name of rest candidates will be announced on Tuesday.  Bhagat said that the party Supremo, Sudesh Mahto will contest from Silli, Sunita Chaudhary wife of Giridih MP, Chandraprakash Chaudhary will contest from Ramgarh, Kushwaha Sheopujan Mehta MLA from Husainabad to contest from same seat, Lambodar Mahto to be the party candidate from Gomia, Roshanlal Chaudhary, former AJSU Party candidate from Barkagaon to contest from same seat. The party Spokesperson raised the curtain over suspense when he announced name of the party’s Vice president and former MLA from Chandankiari, Umakant Rajak as the party candidate from the same seat.

Sahis will contest from Jugsalai seat, Manoj Chandra is candidate from Simaria, Sadanand Mahto to be contest from Sindari and Ramlal Munda will be candidate from Chakradharpur, he added. 

AJSU Party will announce its final candidates list of Tuesday for the upcoming State Assembly Elections.

One of its candidates Niru Shanti Bhagat filed her nomination on Monday form Lohardaga constituency where polling will be held in first phase of elections on November, 30. Drinking Water and Sanitation Minister and AJSU Party MLA from Jugsalai, Ramchandra Sahis informed that the party will announce its final list of candidates on Tuesday and the party will unveil its manifesto on November, 14. “AJSU Party’s alliance partner BJP allotted 12 seats for AJSU Party but the party had submitted list of 17 seats to the BJP National president, Amit Shah during meeting with AJSU Party Central Committee president Sudesh Mahto held on Sunday in the State Capital,” he added.

After a week long stalemate over seat sharing agreement Niru Shanti Bhagat filed its nomination paper form Lohardaga constituency without official announcement made by the party.  At the time of nomination, Neeru Shanti Bhagat was accompanied by her husband and former Lohardaga MLA, Kamal Kishore Bhagat along with AJSU Central Committee Secretary, Suraj Aggarwal.

The party candidate reached the election office situated at the SDO office in Lohardaga and filed her nomination paper in front of the Electoral Officer-cum-SDO, Jyoti Jha. Earlier, the Road Show of AJSU Party started from the Assembly Head Office of the party located at Harmu Road which ended at SDO office.
